So, I've been doing NaNoWriMo for like ten years now and this past November was another success! NaNoWriMo is precious to me as both a writer always needing that reboot, but also for what they do. Fun fact! When I first started, I thought it was National November Writing Month. I think it works too, but Novel makes more sense for sure.
Holding the Tempo will be the fourth book in the Needing Harmony series! I finished the 50k goal with seven chapters remaining, which I'm wrapping up this month at a more slower pace (holidays and sanity refresh).
While getting 50k words written in a month on its own is impressive - now the real work begins. First, I have to actually finish the entire novel. My novels can easily go over 80k words and higher. I think I did a standalone that was over 100k words.
So, while the release of my novel is around the corner, I need to finsih the draft, get lost in revisions, send off to editors, and since Needing Harmony is themed around music, I need to get those songs done too. And the cover.
Much work to be done! But the fourth book is on its way and after the boost of NaNoWriMo, it's closer than we know.
