Book Insights: Reapermarked (Ever Unlasting Book 1)

I am so excited to share my new series, Ever Unlasting with the first book Reapermarked! This series will be released in Kindle Unlimited and the book's price will be $4.99. If you aren't sure about it, you can listen to it in my new YouTube series where I read the first chapters of my books to you for story time. Warning: I'm not a voice actor. But it's fun, so why not?

This first book is CHUNKY for me. It's over 90k words when I normally aim for 65-80k words with my books. But it had to be written as such. Ever Unlasting isn't as straightforward as we think (or at least I hope not).

The series itself will be 4 books long and I'm already working on the third book! So there shouldn't be much waiting. The second book: Reaperbound is already up for preorder.

These covers are coming along nicely. I can't wait to see how the other covers fit together with this!

Interesting Fact:

1. I wrote the first book way back when I was a fresh college student. And then I shared it on Vella before Amazon shut it down. And now I'm excited to finally share it with everyone and branch it out into a solid series. I've had this story on my mind for way to long, so it's time to share it with you all.

2. I made the covers! I know the dangers of making my own covers, and if it isn't up to industry standards, then my apologies. But I'm a learner at heart and so figuring out how to create all those special effects has been so much fun. I promise I've put in a lot of time, consideration, and research into crafting these covers. Magic-themed covers are so much harder than contemporary ones! But I'll keep learning and getting better.

3. I've renamed everyone in this series so many times! Dalia, Kamila, and Leon are the poor characters who struggle with their identities. I'm glad with what I decided on. I actually had to rename Kamila because her original one was too close to a name I used previously in a different series. Have to do my best not to reuse names.

Themes that this series deals with:

1. Endangered Humans - The faerals (supernatural beings) have topped over the humans! They nearly wiped them out until a group of faerals decided humans needed to be protected. I've always wanted to dive into this kind of world and so far it's been a ton of fun. Dalia and her best friend Kamila (Kami) are humans navigating such a world.

2. Dalia's Dark Past - Dalia has a very dark past and she's going to be forced to face that in devastating moments. It's never good to hide from your past, and Dalia pays the price for it.

3. Special Gifts - Yes, of course. How can I not give the main character a special ability. How else was she supposed to make a deal with a grim reaper? The only question is . . . what does that really mean? Who is she really? Even she doesn't know!

4. Love Triangle - AH! Okay, I'll admit, I never thought I'd write a love triangle. Why should I when I'm generally a Why Choose author? But in this case, I didn't want to dive into weird supernatural bondings or anything and it ended up turning into a love triangle. Guys, I wish I could give you a clue on who she picks, but that would mean I'd know who she would pick. And I have NO clue. So good luck figuring it out! (I say while I laugh like a crazy person.)

5. Best friend - If you've followed me closely as an author, then you probably picked up on how much I love a really good best friend. And Dalia and Kami are probably as close as best friends can ever get without crossing the line. I mean, Dalia literally made a deal with a death reaper so she could keep Kami alive and by her side. Talk about sacrifice! And throughout the story, these two really are determined to stick together and fight for each other. I love it and I hope you do to.
